Spring is just around the corner! That means it’s time to get your golf car back out and enjoy the beautiful weather. In this blog post, we have provided some tips to get your golf cart ready for the new season.

Clean Your Golf Car

After sitting undercover or in storage for a while, your golf car will crave a good cleaning! Give it a good rinse and be sure not to spray the electronics.

Check the Battery

If you followed the steps in our golf cart winterization blog post, then your battery is likely disconnected. Before connecting the battery back to your golf car, see if there is any corrosion on your batteries, and if there is some, follow the steps within this article to clean it.

Investigate Your Fluids

Before charging the battery, you will need to check the water level on it. Learn more about how to use distilled water to maintain your battery here

Then you can grease any fittings and check other fluid levels at the same time.

Examine the Brakes & Tires

Now it’s time to make sure your tires are appropriately inflated. If not, be sure to air them to the amount recommended for your golf car.

It is also important to ensure that your brakes are in good condition by seeing if the brake pads are of the proper thickness.

Scan for Loose Bolts, Screws, or Cables

Look for any visible bolts and screws and tighten them if needed. Then double check that your battery cables are plugged in completely.

Turn It On

Before turning on your golf cart, change the tow switch to the “run” position and then it should turn on.

If your golf cart does not start once you’ve completed the steps above, please call us at (303) 761-3332 so we can diagnose the issue.
